Everyone knows it’s 2020. Whether you celebrated by fireworks or just a simple meal with family as you looked over 2019, it happened. I’m back in the blogging world and I wanted to share the plan for 2020. Lots is going on this year, even in January. Big surprise, right?
I was actually going over this post in my mind asking myself how I would plan this. I’m just gonna do it. Again, big surprise, right?
January: The Only Month I Know What’s Going On
I started driving lessons and it was cool. I’m still currently in Week 1. I actually just finished week one and it was pretty fun. A little stressful, I’m not gonna lie. I have serious stress issues though, so that’s not a surprise. My second semester of college starts. I’m taking four classes, again. I meant to take five but the last-minute schedule changes just made it work like that. I have a friend coming over for a long weekend this month! It’s gonna be a super big highlight.
January-May is LeTourneau University. It’s my second semester so I’m going to be focusing on school. As I said, I have driving lessons in January so I should end up with my permit. 😏 I’ve been saving up for a car; which means at some point this year I’m going to have a car. And I will tell you when I do, it’s a major thing for me.
This summer we have a couple plans. One of which includes seeing my friend that is coming in January. Nothing is set in stone yet, so we’ll see how it goes.
This fall I have my third semester of college starting. Hopefully, I’ll finally do five classes instead of four, if it works out. Can you believe it? By the end of 2020, I’ll have three semesters of college. By the time I’m sixteen. Because my birthday is in October, as you know from my birthday post this year.
Goals for 2020:
- Take control of my stress levels
I have serious stress problems. And I have had them for years, but this year I want to take control of my stress.
- Take control of my anxiety levels
This is on the same lines of stress. I’ve had a lot of anxiety over the past years and I want to really start conquering it.
- Do well at university and get good grades, maybe meet some cool people
Honestly, doing well is more likely than making friends. I don’t seem to be a “big group of friends” person; which I’m fine with. I’m still nervous about grades, don’t get me wrong. To me, it’s my future. *sighs*
- Play more games
My mother and I really started playing more games. Like Clue, a mystery game. I don’t know if y’all know what it is, but it’s a fun game. I hope to continue this habit.
- Watch less TV
Sometimes I get on a roll with watching TV. You know how TV shows have their “seasons?” Well, I totally fall for them. Every. Single. Time. And sometimes I like to *whisper* binge. Hopefully, I’ll get better at not doing it this year. Probability: low.
- Practice more photography
I started to where I don’t pick up my camera as much as I used to. Darn it, Ari. I’m going to start focusing on landscape photos and editing them.
- Get published this year (finally)
Funds were the problem last year. I had a publisher. I had a book. When I get a job, I’ll have a “steady income” and maybe be able to come up with the money.
- Get a job
Yeah, I mentioned this. I want to get a job in February-ish. After my driving lessons ends and I get used to my new school classes, I’m gonna try!
- Buy a planner and use it/stick to it
I’m getting a planner. The problem is sticking to it. I have one that is actually my style! I’m excited about the style of it and I think I can stick to it this year. Being a college student means you need to be organized. Are they ever? Likely, no. But here we are. And we’re gonna try.
- Buy a car
It also comes up with me saving up and then getting a job. Hopefully, I’m going to be able to get a car this year and actually drive.
- Get to 1,000 followers (yes, it’s a huge goal, I know)
It’s a big goal. I just reached 641 after all this time. But, I want to try. It’s lofty, but who doesn’t like lofty? I’m into lofty and challenging things.
- Drink less…(soda)
Yes, soda. I don’t have a problem. I got back into Dr. Pepper and it’s becoming an obsession. Ack, darn it, Ari. Again. But, then again, I’m barely drinking sweet tea. It’s a win-lose situation.
- Continue to change my style of blogging
I made some big changes as of late. And I’m going to continue to. A part of blogging is making changes and shaking things up a bit. So, I will.
- Continue to become “me”
Every young adult has a time when they learn more about themself. And I’m in that stage, and I’ve been there for a while. I hope to continue to learn more about myself and know why I do things, good and bad, and fix what I need to.
I hope you liked this post! I’m coming at you with more business promotional posts and spiritual things that I’ve been thinking about. Have a good day! And cya soon.

That’s so cool! I pray that you accomplish these goals! I didn’t know you were in college. I must have missed that. Is it at a University?

You don’t have to apologize to me, if anyone, yourself.

Loved reading this Ariana! I hope you enjoy using your planner 😄💙 and that would be so cool if you got a car! I still want my dream car – a green VW beetle (the old design) – really badly. Maybe one day. 😂
Btw I just went and reviewed the poster I bought from you on Etsy! 😊💕
