Interviewing Jo from Pananaw

Today is the day that I interview Jo. She is the blogger on Pananaw. She writes short stories as well. Check those out here. I also reviewed some of those short stories here.

This was such a fun interview. I would like to say to Jo, it was awesome. Thanks for doing it with me!

Anyway…let’s do this.

my questions/things that aren’t questions but prompts/responses = bold, her answers = italics

Hey, Jo! Tell me a little about yourself.
a little?
uh. yikes.
i’m known for a lot.
possibly too much.
but if you truly insist, well.
i’m a filipiadimerican dreamer, storybreather, and accidental troublemaker. 😀
This makes sense. This is one of my favorite answers ever!
What are your favorite things to do?
the genericness, the genericness, help i can’t decideeee
anything that involves a story. creating it, telling it, sharing it, enjoying it, reading it. anything that involves my family and/or friends. and anything that involves physical effort, the outdoors, and knives.
I understand this as well. Creating a story is such an honor. And no one can take it away from you.
Why did you choose the name Pananaw?
a lot
listzomaniac (someone who must have music playing nonstop), halo halo (literally: mix mix), and the act of defenstration could all have worked perfectly, really, but i chose pananaw because it was short, it was unique, and it was easily misunderstood. like me. 🙂
Love it! You definitely didn’t make a mistake.
What is your favorite short story you’ve written?
wild heart (written for a contest that i didn’t win but still enjoyed). it’s not published yet, and i doubt it will be anytime soon. i’m too lazy to open it on google docs. 🙂
I love the title. I bet it’s great.
Do you hope to become a writer one day?
i already consider myself a writer, so for me one day is today.
if you’re talking about published author though, that’s something i am not. but i want to be.
I agree. Being a writer is such a joy. Writers, at least most of them, should all be authors one day.
If you had to choose, reading or writing?
that’s like asking me to choose between oxygen or water. you need both to survive.
That is the best answer I’ve ever heard to that question. It’s crazy to even think living life without one.
What is one big goal for your future?
i’ll be glad if i’m alive in time for that, but if i stay alive, i’d love to pursue theater.
Yes! I love theater. Good luck if you do it. 😉
8. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
community. there is no fun in blog posts without the comments.
Agreed. The people on here are amazing. ❤

Ta-da! I hope you guys liked this post. Don’t forget to check Jo out. She’s an amazing person and an even better person. (And let’s not forget her writing and unique style).
