Ah, journaling. ❤ You can do anything! Talk about your favorite music, that horrible traffic that scared you because that car pulled out in front of your Mom’s car, it can relieve stress after you talked about that horrible exam and you feel like a failure…
So, how do you do it?
Firstly, let’s talk benefits.
- Relieves stress
Example: Talking about it sometimes help. After you wrote that 5-page entry you realize that it’s a simple problem and you should be the better man/girl and fix it yourself.
- Gets rid of anger
Example: See above. 😉
- You can read back and see how far you have come since you started writing
Example, using a person’s thoughts: Woah, I can’t believe it! I was still struggling with nightmares when I started this journal, no way. I’ve progressed.
- You can read back on the good memories
Example: You had a horrible day, but you read that entry about your birthday a couple months ago and that brought up more memories which made you super happy. 😛
Cool, right? Yep! I love journaling, and it really helps me with a lot of stuff.
~How Do You Journal???~
There’s really no right or wrong way to journal. I journal like my diary is a friend, for example:
Man, it’s been a rough day. Guess what…and then….
I’m not going to make you read a whole entry, haha. 😛 But, you get the idea! Major stuff may or may not have happened, but I treat my diary like a friend, so I tell it (Sophie) anyway.
I found it easier to write in a journal when I named the journal, I’ve had: Lily, Emma, Daisy, Jewel, and I know there 1-2 more, and I’m on Sophie now.
I, write a lot, you…don’t have to. I know a friend who just writes when something major happens.
I hope you liked this post, it was fun and simple, and I hope it was helpful. ❤
