So, I go back to school on the 7th. Someone wanted me to do an update on French, and I wanted to go ahead and start! 😊 Because…why not? When I get back we do a week of review right before midterms, and then it’s misterms and then new material, then finals…(seems easy? Haha haha, cute)! #sarcasm.
So, I’ve learned five types of verbs, in French a type of verb may be avoir-and it is “to go” and other such things. Avoir was he first type of verb we learned; I’ve also learned predicates, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, I can order off a menu, I can describe people, name everything (almost), in a living room, and I can introduce people and myself, it’s great! I am so glad I can order off a menu, that’s like my bragging right in French, haha.
Je m’appelle Mademoiselle Ariana Evans.
I am Miss Ariana Evans.
Translation from French to English is idiomatic-which, if you don’t know what that means, (which I didn’t before, haha,), it means “this is basically what it says”.
Je m’appelle literally means what you are called, but it is “My name is…” and that’s fine, it’s just the way translation from language to language works!
Ma mére et taquin.
My mother is fond of teasing.
Say whatttt? Yes, they have the “symbols” on the letters-accents.
Anyway, that’s a French lesson, love y’all!
Do you like French? Are you learning it? 🙂
