Heyyy! β€ So, a while ago Mom gave me a planner, as you know from a previous post, the design was “off” so the binder was almost too short for the notebook, so I had a “fix-it craft moment.”Β
So, the binder was too short, right? Yep. π So, I got out the old months, then got some string that we had in a craft drawer and twisted it around the spirals.
You will need…
- Your messed up notebook/planner, type thing.Β
- String, rope, or ribbon
- A hot glue gun unless you want to knot it.Β
So, here is my binder, sorry, I did not take a picture actually doing it…
That is my binder with the cute string!!!Β
Okay, so string can “fray” at the end where it comes apart and is hard to get past those spirals, to fix this problem I got the string and pushed it into the “hole” of the spiral so I did not have to “find the string” in that spiral. πΒ
If that did not make sense, here:
^That is how I put the twine if it that skinny for you, (the spirals,) like they are on mine it really helps. πΒ
^That is the end result, I am proud of it, it now works fully and looks great!
I hope this helps in some way, or in the future! π Sorry, the pictures weren’t the best. Haha.Β
Do you have binders like this? Did this help? Are you going to use this in the future?Β

Ohh this would have helped me SO much with old notebooks when I was little, haha! This is a very handy trick π It definitely comes in handy with old spiral notebooks/binders. Thanks for sharing! I love your plannerβs cover, by the way! β€
